DESCRIPTION: A conical shaped Japanese ikebana basket crafted from split bamboo, the upper portion in open vertical strips secured by a horizontal weave at the base. The basket is lined with the original, conforming brass water container and rests on three short bamboo legs. Excellent condition and dating from the late Meiji to Taisho Periods (1900 – 1926). DIMENSIONS: Basket is 12” high (30.5 cm) with handles; 7” high (17.8 cm) without handles; 8 ½” in diameter (21.5 cm).
